WHITNEY HOUSTON is being sued by ex-husband BOBBY BROWN, who is seeking to change his terms of custody with their 14-year-old daughter, BOBBI KRISTINA.
In court papers obtained by ET, he lists several reasons why he was not able to file a response to Whitney's pettion for divorce, stating he was "strapped for cash during this time and could not afford to hire a lawyer."
He also says he's devastated about losing his rights to see his daughter.
Bobby claims he has been homeless at times since the divorce, and is seeking spousal support, as well as child support for their daughter.
His divorce from Whitney was finalized on April 24, with Whitney getting full custody. Bobby was not in court when the ruling was passed down.
Whitney testified that she did not need spousal or child support, and that the couple's daughter could not depend on her father.
A court date for Bobby's new case has set for June 15.

He also states: "During my long history with Whitney, I had never come to regard her as a person who would be deceitful or purposely try to take advantage of me."
Now, if you're saying that you've been homeless on more than a couple of occasions since the divorce, then why are you trying to change the terms of custody for your child? YOU DON'T HAVE A PERMANENT PLACE OF RESIDENCE YOU IDIOT! Lawd, what's wrong with people? He's umemployed so therefore, he can't take care of her right now. I'm pretty sure he is devastated because of this, but he needs to get himself together and find a job. There's no other way to put it. His career has been over and now it's time to go to work. He's of sound mind and body, therefore, he can go out here and find himself a job.
he should try getting a thing called a J-O-B and actually get him a house and money and then try and get custody of her.. don't he know they aren't about to give him custody when he don't have a house or money?
