Savannah Brinson, the 8-months-pregnant girlfriend of NBA star LeBron James, recently had to be taken from the Quicken Loans arena in Cleveland on a stretcher.
Savannah was transported by ambulance to the hospital during halftime of Thursday's playoff game between LeBron's Cleveland Cavaliers and the New Jersey Nets. LeBron was informed of the situation with updates throughout the game, and said he was "concerned, of course." You always want your family to be protected, you want them to be fine. They assured me that she was OK so I believed what I heard. The couple's other child, 2-year-old LeBron Jr., stayed behind to watch the rest of the game with his grandmother Gloria James. LeBron has not revealed the reason behind the need for medical intervention, but Savannah has since been released from the hospital and is believed to be fine.
The new baby, due in June, will also be a boy.
James also said his knee was a "hundred percent" after he was forced to leave Game 5 in the final minute after banging and cutting his knee while chasing a loose ball.
