Most of my comments are listed under the picture threads so yall can check that at when you look at the pics. I do have a rumor on the 50 Cent "performance" if that's what you want to call it. Rumor has it that when he came out he said "yall feeling me" and no one was 'extra hyped' so he was like "oh yall not feeling me" then he went out into the crowd and slap hands with the few celebs that were rocking to the beat then he went back on stage and performed the 2nd verse to Amusement Park then sat down on the step. Yayo was looking at him like "what's up man. What you doin" so 50 was like Vitamin Water and cheesing that goofy ass grin he has. Which in fellow jackass terms LOL means "I got 50mil in the bank. I don't have to perform. I'm already paid!" Now it was funny, I'll admit b/c 50 is......50. BUT the audience wanted him to perform and they voted(which was not free if they sent in a text) on which song they wanted 50 to perform so for him to act like a donkey just b/c his peers wasn't hooting and hollering and on their feet like he expected, is fucked up on his part. And it's very disrespectful to his fans! But this is just a rumor. Who knows maybe BET fucked the mikes up. They did it to TI! But so far from what I've heard 50 was being his regular jackass self.....
The other thing I've been hearing is how EVERYONE, except for the people during the tribute to Diana and Gerald and the Jennifers, lipsynched(sp). But I'm like who cares. I'd rather them lipsynch and get their dance own then sing horrible and off key. So what did yall think about the show?
LMAO! I actually got a phone call about his "performance" before I even saw it because my best friend saw it 3 hours before me. She basically said that he was he was doing too much and was being REAL BIGHEADED to say the least cuz she had me ROLLING talking about him!! He was really walking around like he is really something nice to look at! Looking like he just got out the pin yesterday! I dunno, I was looking at the TV like " Yea,....are you gonna rap anytime soon". Both singles are weak to me. Then he had the hoes swinging up and down the red sheets (LOL) let me stop. He was just completely wack.
I thought the show was good. I was happy they honor Don Cheadle. I thought that was great! Diana Ross is still THE DIVA, even at 63! The tributes were the best parts of the show. Ciara and her talking and performing self. Did she sing any part of the song? Good to see T.I apologize for his actions, I didn't expect that. I liked the little Destiny's Child reunion with Solange! And I was with Monique when she told LL to take off her hill LOL! Why did act like he was scared or something,LOL! I agree with TC, she did do a better job last time. The chorography was better last time I think too. Ok, that's all I can think of right now.
The opening performance with the Jennifers was TIGHT! I think they had great chemistry on the stage and they didn't try to "outstage" one another. Jennifer Holliday had her moment, and Jennifer Hudson had hers.
Beyonce was alright. She did her thing. She should've left Mo'Nique in the back though.
Speaking of Mo'Nique, she was flat out raggedy last night. Her look, her performance at the beginning, everything about her was straight raggedy. I don't even think she rehearsed. I hope she knows not to do the dance routines again because it's old now. No need to see it again.
I heard the same thing about Fiddy, as you can read in my response to the BET Main Event Pics.
The BEST performances of the night went straight to Yolanda, Eddie, Patti and Gladys. They did it UP! I didn't think about it until my sister mentioned it earlier, but when Patti came out the back hollering, Yolanda stopped singing. She knew she wasn't any competition for Patti, and it's good that she didn't try it either. But then again, she probably laid low since Chaka Khan got all upset about how Yolanda out sang her last year. She needs to sit her big ass down some damn where.
The Diana Ross performance was good too. Erykah Badu did her THANG with "Love Hangover". Truly a classic, sexy song. All of her mannerisms were Diana Ross to the fullest! It was good to see Diana's baby daddy Berry Gordy there to support her as well.
Uhm....let's see. I think that's it. I hung until around 10:20 then I went to bed, but I taped the entire show.....hopefully. I haven't played the tape just yet, but if there's anything else worth mentioning, I'll edit my post.
I liked the show. I think Monique was good. She needs to quit imitating Beyonce though, who did great also. I liked Kelly's performance. I LOVE NE-YO!! Him and Fabolous did good. T.I. was good. Reggie and Floyd Maywheather were lookin good. CIARA STUNK! She could've lip synched and upped her dance moves. I know she can dance better than what she did. Hell she did better on her dvd that came wit her cd lol. 50 Cent was terrible. I heard the rumors bout that performance. He coulda just stayed home. Jennifer Hudson and Jennifer Holiday did good but put too much into it. Some of that coulda been kept. And I think Jennifer Hud coulda worn a better dress. All in all the show was aight.
