BOWIE, Md. -- Prince George's County police are looking for a man they said shot and killed his mother and wounded another man.
Police said it happened around 8 p.m. Sunday in the 14000 block of Dunwood Valley Drive in Bowie, Md.
Investigators said the shooting started after a domestic dispute inside the family home.
Police said the victim's 27-year-old son shot his mother inside the house and then went outside to try to shoot his stepfather. He missed his stepfather and hit a neighbor across the street, police said.
Authorities said the victim's mother and father were inside the house when the shooting began, but ran outside to neighboring homes seeking help.
The mother was pronounced dead at the scene and the other victim was sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Police said the shooting suspect was last seen driving a 2006 Toyota Camry with Maryland tags 8BS588.
SMH, what a sad story right here. I wonder what in the world could be so bad that he had to shoot and kill his mother, then go after the stepfather. Unfortunately, he hit the neighbor, but thankfully, his injuries are non-life-threatening. I hope they find this guy because he needs some serious help.
