Spank, Rook & Snoop

Uncle SNOOP has until March 26, to reach a settlement in a lawsuit he filed against his former label Priority Records, in 2006. Judge Helen I. Bendix set the deadline at a court hearing held at the Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday (March 6, 2008). The lawsuit is for unpaid royalties of $2 million dollars and Uncle Snoop has also said he hasn't received a $950,000 advance for his album 'Tha Last Meal', which was released in 2000. Priority Records also allegedly released a greatest hits album 'The Best of Snoop Dogg' in 2005, without consulting with Uncle Snoop.

Uncle Snoop and Priority Records are in the process of working out a settlement but have reported that they need more time.
If a settlement isn't reached by the deadline date, Judge Helen I. Bendix will set a trial date or refer the case to the Superior Court’s Alternative Dispute Resolution program.
He's doing bigger and better things with his new label Geffen Records so hopefully this will end on a positive note for Uncle Snoop.

wtfThey need more time? It's been 2 years already. How much time does it take for one to check the numbers because they know damn well they owe Snoop some money. They need to call in their Accountant and stop playing around. Then again, they may be trying to cough up the money from somewhere else.
