Police found a 2006 Mercedes Benz sports coupe up in flames at about midnight on Thursday in a San Diego neighborhood. The $180,000 car's owner was Chargers linebacker, Shawne Merriman. After the fire was contained police said the tires had been taken and the car was sitting on top of milk crates.

We were surprised at the fact that the car had not been reported stolen. We don't suspect anything shady on Merriman's part, we just look forward to the day when we won't notice that our $180,000 car is missing.

There have been no arrests made in connection with the case.
