Well there goes the wedding between actor Lance Gross and model Eva Marcille. Various online outlets, including Essence.com, are reporting that the formerly happy couple has split up just 5 months before their planned july 17 wedding.

Folks are scratching their heads trying to figure out what happened. And unfortunately a joint press release from the two doesn’t really shed any light either.

“Lance Gross and Eva Marcille have mutually decided to end their relationship. The split is completely amicable,” the statement says.

Perhaps, as the blogosphere is suggesting, the break up grew out of an argument the two reportedly had in Miami during Super Bowl weekend.

Meanwhile, according to the joint statement, “both parties remain friends.”

Marcille, who came to the attention of the public from “America’s Next Top Model,” is a regular on Tyler Perry’s House of Payne.

Gross, also associated with “Payne,” is currently starring with Regina King and Forest Whitaker in “Our Family Wedding.”

Aww, such sad news to read about.  I never really followed them all like that, but they were such a cute couple.  I'm glad to read that the split was amicable and they are remaining friends.
