This show reminds me why I love the group Jodeci. I am SO in their corners as they battle their addictions to alcohol. I LOVES me some K-Ci Hailey!!! He is SO hilarious! I had no idea that he was 41 years old and JoJo, 39. I can't believe it's been almost 20 years since they first stepped on the scene. Alcohol has done a number on them, but through Grace and Mercy, they will beat their addiction. K-Ci still has that powerful voice too! A.J. Johnson is their health and nutrition specialist and she made him sing while completing an exercise. He sang "Freekin' You", one of my faves, and he NAILED it! You know how some people get caught up in their addictions and lose their soulful voices. Well, he hasn't. They just signed with Babyface's new label, Soda Pop Records, and I'm hoping they come out with a new album soon.
I like this show because they really want make beat that monkey on their backs, and what's really good is the support they are receiving from their children and their children's Moms. K-Ci's oldest son Devin looks JUST like him! OMGeee it's crazy! He just has his Mom's complexion, but he's K-Ci all the way. JoJo's baby mamas look like sisters. I think they're Spanish also, and I think both he and K-Ci's children all live in New York. The Pastor that's working with them is excellent at what he does, right along with his sister, who's a Clinical Psychologist.
