Bosh's ex says he blocked her from appearing on VH1's Basketball Wives

Chris Bosh may have been hoping for a quiet offseason in the wake of his tumultuous first year with the Miami Heat, but he is finding baby mama drama to be a year-round activity.

Allison Mathis, Bosh's ex-girlfriend and the mother of his 2-year-old daughter, is suing him for allegedly preventing her from appearing on the VH1 reality show "Basketball Wives."

Mathis filed suit in Orange County Circuit Court on Monday, claiming Bosh and his representatives "made numerous false and/or damaging communications" to Shed Media, which produces "Basketball Wives."

These communications, including the claim that Mathis "was prohibited under several court orders from performing the on-camera acting services pursuant to the agreement, and that continuing to allow plaintiff to perform her acting services would result in a violation of the court orders," led to Mathis' dismissal from the show.

The suit also claims that "in all likelihood" Mathis would have "continued to perform under the agreement for at least four additional seasons and continued to receive compensation in excess of $250,000."

Under her deal with Shed Media, Mathis was to be paid $625 a week for appearing on the show. She would also receive $2,500 for each of the first five episodes in which she appeared and $5,000 per episode afterward. Shed Media also had an option to renew her contract for 4 more years.

Last month Bosh sued Mathis and Shed Media, alleging that Mathis "is attempting to promote her own commercial brand" by exploiting her former relationship with Bosh.

This is not the only contentious dispute involving Bosh and Mathis lately. During the NBA Finals, Bosh filed an emergency motion with a Maryland court asking to temporarily alter their custody agreement so their daughter could see Bosh play in the Finals.

Bosh's agent has not responded to phone calls seeking comment.

Whew, these NBA players know how to get themselves in some messy situations.  And it's all over the Internet and TV for everyone to read/see and comment on. All of this ping-pong-style suing they're doing is ridiculous and it needs to stop because there is a baby involved.  Just go for shared custody and take care of your kid!  That shouldn't be hard as they are BOTH making it seem.  I will say this.  I saw an email that Chris sent to the BM asking if the child could come and watch him in the finals.   He kept it cordial but she never responded, so he took her to court.  This could've been avoided if only she had responded.  Ugh, this kind of ignorance disturbs the hell out of me!

As far as this show is concerned, the money she was offered is kind of low if you ask me.  I know she's new, but still.  There's no guarantee this show will be around long enough for a 4-year contract extension so she shouldn't bank on that happening.  I'd be surprised if it was.  I read somewhere that Shaunie tried to claim that Bosh's BM wasn't casted to be on the show, but records show that was a lie.
