The Washington, DC area has been in such a solemn mood this past week, and it's such a sad ordeal for not only us Washingtonians but the NFL family as well. As you all know, Redskins Safety Sean Taylor died from a gunshot wound early Tuesday morning on November 27, 2007. I'm not a Washington Redskins fan but it breaks my heart to see another one of our young men die senselessly. A young man is dead because some youngins felt like burglarizing a home because they knew whoever lived there was wealthy. Now they're scared to death because they never expected him to die, and it's quite possible that they may die soon themselves. And for what? Some quick cash, maybe some jewelry or a mink coat or some sort. Now, someone's son, father, uncle, friend, cousin, etc., is gone.
To watch the entire Redskins organization go through what they're going through right now, losing one of their family members, is heart-breaking. I wish I could go over to Redskins Park and hug each and every last person from the waterboys to the owner, because they are hurting so much right now. If it's one thing that always gets to me, it's seeing another person in pain. I don't care who it is, it saddens me beyond words. But I know that my God is a loving God because He will get them through it, just like He will get the many fans, family, friends, former classmates, etc., through it.
This isn't goodbye, but farewell until we all see you again. Rest in peace young brother. You will be missed.
I saw this on the news the other day and its sad he died and he was soo young.. i didn't know how he died or anything... they should have thought about it before they even went in there to rob him.. if you shoot somebody there is always a possibility that they are going to die..R.I.P to him..
