American Idol's "Princess P" is going to be a proud parent.



Paris Bennett, 19, the Idol singer who was an early favorite in the show's fifth season in 2006, is expecting her first child, the Minneapolis StarTribue reports.

The Rockford, Ill., native's mother, Jamecia Bennett, told the paper that the father "chooses not to be in the public eye." She added that Paris "has a ring" and is expecting to have a baby shower in August.

You know, sometimes silence is really golden. Her Mom didn't have to make those comments.  She sounds like a clueless idiot.  Who the hell is she trying to prove something to?  She acting like the world is going to stop just because her 19-year-old daughter is unwed and pregnant.  Hell, if you're disappointed in your child, just say so and keep it moving.

Congrats to Paris anyway.
