Rapper 50 Cent reached a visitation settlement with the mother of his 11-year-old son Wednesday.
The agreement will give the rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, one weekend per month with his son Marquise, as well as one month in the summer and half of each his winter and spring recess.
"I'm happy it's actually done with," 50 Cent said outside Suffolk County Family Court in Central Islip.
The Manhattan attorney representing the mother, Shaniqua Tompkins, said he was satisfied with the agreement reached in the courtroom of Judge David Freundlich.
The attorney, Paul Catsandonis, called it "a fair and reasonable agreement." Tompkins also expressed satisfaction with the agreement.
"He's going to get visitation on his terms," she said of her son, adding: "When he wants to see his dad . . . I want him to have a positive relationship with his dad."
Jackson also will have holiday visitation, which will alternate on an annual basis. The rapper had been seeking two weekends per month. He had been granted temporary visitation in September pending a trial this month.
Dang one weekend a month isn't very much time but I guess 50 is happy with it.. I wonder where his son and his mom are living now since the house they was living in burnt down?
It don't make no damn sense how much that little boy looks just like his Dad. Damn!
I'm glad everyone's in agreement with the terms of the custody issue. This has gone on too long. I know they both love their son, and it's good that they aren't acting like heathens during this situation.
