UPDATE: Suspect in Custody in Hudson Family Slayings

Authorities have arrested a suspect in the shooting deaths of Jennifer Hudson's brother, Jason Hudson, 29, and mother, Darnell Donerson, 57.

Responding to a call made by a family member who discovered the bodies, police found the pair a little before 3 p.m. Friday at Donerson's home on Chicago's South Side. Hudson's 7-year-old nephew, Julian King, her sister Julia's son, has been reported missing.

Police said that there were no signs of forced entry and they are treating the case as a domestic matter.

Law enforcement sources tell the Chicago Tribune that they were hoping to find Julian when they picked up the suspect in question, but that the boy was not with him. No charges have been filed.

Per the Tribune, Cook County records show that the as-yet unidentified man is on probation after serving seven years in prison for attempted murder and vehicular hijacking. He was released in May 2006.

The Donerson residence is listed in public records as one of his last known addresses and police say he had some sort of a personal relationship with one of the members of the family.

Donerson's next-door neighbor, Angela Russell, told E! News that she heard gunshots early this morning. An Amber Alert was issued this afternoon for a white 1994 Chevrolet Suburban with the license plate number X584859.

I'm glad they were able to arrest the guy, and I'm also praying that they find her nephew. Oh wow, he lived in the house with them. I wonder if he's the little boy's father, or possibly the sister's boyfriend, if not the Mom's. I also wonder what made him kill them.....IF, he is the guy that did the shooting. Details are still a bit sketchy on that. But now I'm starting to wonder if the guy they have in custody is the same guy named William that people saw driving around on the North side with the little boy. I also wonder if the little boy saw the whole incident unfold and if that's why he was kidnapped. So many questions surrounding this, and so many mourning two losses as well.

This is soo sad.. I saw today that they think that they found the nephews body in the back of a SUV.. RIP to all of them

Yes, that informaton has been confirmed. The body they found in the back of the SUV was indeed Jennifer Hudson's nephew. My heart aches for the Hudson family right now. Not one senseless death, but three. Just sad, sad news.

I don't know why, but I can't get the thought that this is some type of retaliation, out of my mind. At first, I thought it may have been on the brother, but then the little boy was missing and it turned out that he was her sister's son, so now I'm starting to believe like many others that she may have had something to do with this. I hope this woman didn't put her family in jeopardy like this over something so stupid and selfish. Everyone is looking at her husband (who is NOT the boy's father), but I'm not so sure that he is a major player in this situation. I think they're only looking at him as a "person of interest" because of his record.

May all of the victims rest in peace and I will continue to pray for them.

It's really sad. I just read on CNN that the child was shot multiple times. That's some cruel ass shit. Was stuff that bad, he had to kill these people?!

Man what?! Multiple times? That's just sickening to no end. I hope they find who did this and soon. I hope it wasn't some teenager who did it just so he could be a part of the "crew". You know they always grab some lil youngin' up to do the crimes.
