This Gospel Star has a lot of explaining to do. She blew off a major awards show to attend the inaugural festivities in DC.
I'm glad that Jennifer Hudson is slowly making her way back into the world. I know it's gonna be hard, but I know that she will be fine. I'm still praying for her.
Whitney Houston has been coming out with an album for over a year now. Until it happens, it's just....blah, to me.
I read about DWade and his wife's court issues last week, if not the week before. I didn't know about he and Gabrielle Union though. That girl has been around. She loves herself some athletes.
So.....Kimora and Djimon have finally admitted the truth. Pictures don't lie, and when that last picture hit the Net, everyone could tell she was pregnant. The ole 'hiding the tummy with the shopping bag' was a dead giveaway. Plus, she didn't hide it too well. Congrats to them. **sidebar** Did you all know that her show 'Life on the Fab Lane' will not be returning? They felt her show was going nowhere fast. I think a lot of people stopped watching when BJ and James left BP. I didn't know James had left also. I wonder what was the deciding factor on that decision. Hmmm.
These celebrities need to get over themselves.....STAT! I'm so sick of reading about them and their DIVA moments. Everybody's jealous of the next one, and a lot of it has come at the hands of the Inauguration. First, Mariah Carey was bitching because she felt she shouldn't have been sitting with other celebrities but closer to the president, perhaps. And now, Mary is upset because she felt Beyonce had too much shine. When isn't Beyonce in the spotlight? Please. Mary needs to get over it. What the hell could she have possibly sung????
Star Jones is so over Al Reynolds. Go head girl. I ain't mad at you. Do you boo!
Congrats to Idris! Good to see that fine black man working.
**sighs** Wasn't the NOTORIOUS movie enough? A TV show on Faith Evans's life is not something I would want to see. I don't believe they'll get into the core aspects of her life anyway. i.e., the drug arrest of she and her hubby in ATL some years back.
Thank you GOD! I am so SICK of seeing Tyler Perry and ALL of his Madea movies. Hopefully, this upcoming movie will be the LAST we see of the both of them. He should've been hung up that dress and wig. Lawd. Can someone say overkill????
Another Karate Kid movie? Are they for real???? Will Smith must be heading up this goofy ass project. After all, his son is playing "The Karate Kid". SMDH. Hollywood needs to shut its doors down for a couple of years so they can regroup. All of these remakes are becoming too much.
I heard about D'Angelo bringing out a new album this summer. I hope it's decent.
I also heard Dennis Rodman was going to be on The Apprentice also. I guess I'll see if it's true when it airs.
I heard about Jada Pinkett Smith's new project also. It sounds like it should be on Lifetime, like 'Strong Medicine' was. That was my show. I hope this new show isn't a knock-off.
I saw the UNCF's Honor of Patti LaBelle this past Sunday night and it was great! Fantasia and J-Hud both got off on that show! Yolanda Adams did her thing too! I taped it and skipped a couple of performances since my sister was raving over both Fantasia's and J-Hud's second performances near the end, so I'll have to go back and watch it in its entirety later on. Fantasia KILLED 'Lady Marmalade'! That's all I'm going to give away. I hope BET re-airs it, but it is my understanding that the UPN network aired it as well.
As far as the Underground Buzzes are concerned, my guesses would be 'New York' for the first one, and Yolanda Adams as the gospel great who skipped a major performance.
I will definitely tuning into the BET Honors. I'm looking forward to seeing ANITA BAKER, Whitney and the Alvin Ailey Dance theatre perform. The Dwade and Siovaughn divorce is a shame and she ain't playing. Congrats to Kimora and Dijmon!!
As far as Mary and the whole "spotlight" situation. I thought her performances at the We Are One concert and at the Neighborhood Ball both were good but...

I'm gonna need Janet to get it together. Hope her health isn't in jeopardy. Good to see Star Jones happy with her new boo. Thumbs up to both Idris Elba and Don Cheadle. I am on the fence about going to see Obsessed when it comes out only because of Beyonce, sorry. I would like to see a bio on Miles Davis though. I'll be at the movies on the February 20th to see Madea Goes to Jail and I'm looking forward to hearing that new D'Angelo fa sho!!
An Evening with Stars-Patti Labelle Tribute-
YES FANTASIA DID SANG HER ASS OFF FOREAL ON "LADY MARMALADE". I was gonna post it on here from youtube but since there is gonna be a re-airing I guess I won't but its definitely worth checking out. Pretty much everyone did a great job.

Have you seen the poster for that movie? It looks like it should go straight to DVD. Seriously, a B-list joint. I'm bout sick of Beyonce, so I think I'll be catching that one online for free.

Yea I saw that poster. She looks corny even in the poster which kind of led me to think that she might not be able to pull of that kind of character. Even though I heard she did a great job in Cadillac Records playing Etta James. Have you seen the trailer?
