Allen Iverson requested and received permission to leave the Memphis Grizzlies to deal with a personal matter, according to the Memphis Commercial Appeal.
Iverson met with owner Michael Heisley after the Grizzlies played the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday, and again on Saturday, when he then left to go to his off-season home of Atlanta.
The shooting guard, who has only played in three games for Memphis since recovering from a hamstring injury, has been vocal about his position on the bench.
Well, I hope he hasn't ditched the team already. Frankly, I'm sick of hearing about this cat and all of his whining about minutes. Negro, you're 34 years old! Get the fuck over it already! Damn! He should've just retired this summer.
