Lyfe Jennings recently was sentenced to 3 1/2 years in court for a domestic incident that happened in 2008. While in court yesterday, he was very emotional as he told the judge “I did it, I know I gotta be punished for it and I just wanted the opportunity to apologize”. BET’s Jeff Johnson also took to the stand to testify in hopes that the judge would give him the minimum sentence of a year.
Lyfe wanted to spend some time with his kids before serving his time but the judge sent him straight to jail.
Lawd, why is Cousin Jeff testifying? Doesn't he realize that testifying on behalf of Lyfe gives the impression that he CONDONES domestic disputes???? Lyfe wilded the fuck OUT that night! He put a gun up to his girlfriend's head then drove his car into a tree! He can't be doing no shit like that! PLUS! Lyfe violated his probation. He knew the consequences of his actions.
I'm going to miss his music because his stuff is as positive as it can be. Makes you stop and think about stuff, especially us women. I need to download his album because he did say months ago that he was going to retire after this one and the reviews are nothing short of great.
I wish him well, but like he said, he knew that he would have to be punished for his actions. I hope he comes out of retirement once he is released, and I also hope he gets some anger management classes too.

He was just on Steve Harvey promoting the new album(which sounded wack to me except like...2 songs, I think) and talking about how never wanted or plans to be incarcerated agaain! Damn...3 1/2yrs
Yea I saw on his twitter the other day it would be his last post so I was like wth? Then I saw where he got sentenced to 3 1/2 years... I forgot all about this happening but hopefully everything works out for him and like Miss K said he comes outta retirement when he gets out
